Bluebonnet Family PhotographerThe L Family’s Joy Session that I photographed in Ennis, TX is shared on the La Brisa blog!

If you’ve been following La Brisa, you definitely recognize this family! From Kelli and Steven’s Attraction Session, to their Lakeside Country Club wedding in Houston, to Pam and Whit’s Attraction Session, to their Junior League of Houston wedding, you’ve seen these recognizable beautiful faces in the past! Well, I am honored to sharing their bluebonnet family photos with you! Cindi, the matriarch, has been dreaming of bluebonnet family photos for YEARS. And I was the privileged photographer who had the opportunity of photographing this incredible family!

With the L Family coming from 4 different locations separated by hundreds of miles, planning a session while the bluebonnets were blooming AND accounting for everyone’s schedules was challenging. Easter weekend: a time for family and to celebrate His resurrection worked perfectly for everyone and we were blessed with an early bloom! We met in Ennis, the “Official Bluebonnet City of Texas” at the Veterans Memorial Park and we had a blast yelling, screaming, singing, jumping and dancing to make all of the little ones as happy as possible for their photos! I wish I had a video of our shenanigans because it was absolutely hilarious. Picture this…I’m standing on a 7 foot ladder, Laura is standing on the front side of the ladder, while seven adults are hunched down and hooting and hollering in front of the ladder. It was amazing =) After large family photos, I photographed each family individually and then all of the parents together. Then we headed over to the playground for some fun candids of the kids playing! Such a fun Joy Session and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone and reminiscing over the past 3 years of knowing each other. Though, I must admit, I feel like I’ve been part of this family for much longer!

I love the dynamics of this family. They remind me so much of my own family because they look out for each other and they always have their best interests at heart. At the end of the session, Jerry, the patriarch, and I were talking about how rare it is to have such a cohesive and tight-knit family. Personally, I think Cindi and Jerry are the primary reason for the resiliency and awesomeness of their family.

Thank you again for trusting me with photographing your amazing family! I genuinely appreciate all of your love and support throughout the years! The L Family is the BEST!!!

~ Chris
