Lucy’s Style Session that I photographed in Dallas, TX is shared on the blog! Back in 2013, I first photographed Lucy in Houston. Then, she was an up and coming high school student with a maturity that belied her age. Now, she’s headed off to Texas Tech and I know she’s going to not only love college, but she’s going to be phenomenally successful!
During our shoot around Kessler Park, Lucy wanted natural and environmental headshots and portraits. With Lucy looking absolutely glamorous in her beautifully flowing dress, my job was ridiculously easy. In every type of light, Lucy shines. Her easy going nature and humility amaze me. Even when I asked her to do ridiculous things, her adorable bashfulness was photographic gold.

Sidenote: The craziest thing happened during our shoot. Something that neither Lucy or I ever witnessed before. While we were setting up in a new location, we watched someone’s dog race out of a home and sprint directly across the street to where another dog was with its owner. Lucy and I thought that they were just going to play because we wrongly assumed that they were friends. Two seconds later, we watched in horror as the freed dog viciously attacked the smaller dog. With the little dog in its mouth, the attacking dog violently shook it side by side for what seemed like hours until the owners were able to pry the jaws apart. We always hear about dog attacks, but neither Lucy or I have ever experienced such a vicious one with our own eyes. Thankfully, both dogs looked to be okay afterwards. Unreal.
