Sara and Adam’s Attraction Session that I photographed in Lawrence, KS is shared on the blog! One of the biggest challenges on my photography bucket list was to photograph a sunflower field. Brisa absolutely loves sunflowers (they were highlighted in our wedding) and through her, I became very aware of how awesome sunflowers are. When I started La Brisa in Kansas, I naturally assumed that I would have plenty of opportunities to photograph epic fields of endless sunflowers. Well, 7+ years after I started, on a weekend that I happened to be shooting Catherine and Phil’s wedding, the Grinter Farms’ sunflower field was in full bloom and I had to take advantage!
My friends Sara of Sara Marie Photography and her husband Adam graciously modeled for a sunrise session for me and a few of our photographer friends from the La Brisa Aspiring Photographer Workshop group! Even at 6:30am, there were tons of people and photographers already at the farm and so shooting was a bit of a challenge. Luckily, Sara brought her step stool (best value investment a photographer can ever make!) and so we were all able to get some clean and unique angles and backgrounds! Honestly, photographing a beautiful couple in an incredible sunflower field is as amazing as you think it would be. True story. From the sheer height of the sunflowers to the infinite depths of the field, there were so many different things that I wanted to try, but unfortunately I had an early flight back home to Texas. Nonetheless, Sara and Adam are phenomenal and hopefully they will like a few of these images!
Thanks again Sara and Adam for being as awesome as you are! Much appreciated! =)
